The Spirit of Christmas: the Spirit of The Christ Presence
Dec 25, 2021
We rejoice, we feel warm happiness, in the gift of the Christmas Spirit. We know stillness and peace, abiding in the Advent Spirit.
No matter what our belief system, or our holiday traditions, we live as happiness and peace as we live in the Spirit of Christmas and the Spirit of Advent.
We ever open our hearts to feel the advent of Christ Presence, here.
In our culture we generally define advent as the preparation for and celebration of Christmas, as well as the second coming of Christ.
The word advent, from the Latin adventus, means “coming.” The root of adventus, advenire, refers to “ad” as “to” and “venire” as “come.” Another definition of adventus is: arrival.
In other words, we learn to see advent as an event that has passed and an event yet to come. We learn to see Christmas as an event.
In this moment, we are free to see the Advent as beyond an event and Christmas as beyond an event.
The spirit or Consciousness of Christmas, the spirit or Consciousness of Advent, is here, now: beyond time, location, place or limit.
Advent marks a sacred time to prepare for the Nativity. We know of or about the Nativity of Jesus, and the birthplace of Bethlehem. We hear the accounts of Jesus born in a manger, or in some references, born in a cave.
We hear of and know of Jesus…….
And we open our hearts this Christmas time to deeply ask and feel, do we know Christ? Are we alive as the Presence of the Christ? Beyond knowing of, do we directly know the Love of Christ, the holy joy of Christ, the infinite omnipresence of the Christ? Do we know the Christ Presence, the Spirit of Christmas, the Spirit of the Advent?
The birth of Christ Presence, the Advent of Miraculous Life, revealed Itself before any time, any place, any world or any realm.
Jesus the Christ revealed and reveals the sonship and daughtership of all sentient beings, from before the foundation of the world.
This means, you can, we can release worry or anxiety, we can relinquish doubt or suffering, and let our hearts not be troubled any longer. (John 14:1) “Do not let your hearts be troubled….I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
When? Not as an event yet to come, not as an event passed in time…..we are taken back to remembrance of where we always have been, what we always have been: the Preence of eternal Love.
The Christ Presence, the Christ Consciousness shines sacred joy alive in our hearts. We rejoice in revelation that we have ever been taken back. We have ever been returned back in remembrance of Presence, Love and Consciousness.
The taking back or return is not an event that newly recurs. The return is the remembrance of what always is true: still home in God Presence, still home in the Christmas spirit of Love.
Jesus, the rabbi Yeshua spoke: “I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” This speaks of and reveals the inseparable oneness of Christ Presence, the Creator Father and Mother God, the spirit that we are created as and live as.
In consciously alive recogntion of oneness, we render our hearts as the ever fresh nativity, the always prepared devoted manger of the Nativity. Then, everywhere we look, walk, live, the living Nativity of God Presence lives through us and reveals peace on earth.
We have been given the gift of gifts: the Spirit of the Christ, the spirit of Christmas, the spirit of the Advent, the spirit of the Nativity, wherever we abide for all eternity.
In innocence, sweetness and peace, we know the Christ Presence, the eternal spirit of Love.
May you, your loved ones, family and community and all beings on the earth know the Spirit of Christmas, the Spirit of Advent, the Spirit of the Christ, the Eternal Love.
Selah.
